Nope, 2015 is confirmed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news! :(
Yeah, especially since One Piece: Unlimited World Red shows that the Wii U can handle cel shading like an absolute boss (well, perhaps apart from the odd frame rate dip).
Nope. In Japan, the Xbox never sells well, but it's seen as a 'hardcore' games machine for connoisseurs. That's a niche market for sure, but one that tends to spend big and at the very least make it worth releasing key titles in limited numbers.
No, Metacritic is fine. It's a convenient list of reviews. That's it.
The problem is that we take it WAY TOO SERIOUSLY. Remember that each mag and site has its own rating scheme, meaning that a 7 on one site might equate to an 8 or even a 5 somewhere else. The score means nothing, it's just a convenient way of reading a bunch of reviews, and we need to remember that.
The score means NOTHING.
EDIT: Also remember that the majority o...
I dunno, this smells like total BS to me. I'd love to see some primary sources.
Lots of people using #Gamersgate for hits.
Stick with it. I still don't rate D2 anywhere NEAR the first in terms of telling a well-paced story with great solutions (some of the murders here are idiotic and stupid, seriously), but the ending... stick with it.
@CongoKyle: "The top?" She's only released a middling indie game. I'd hardly call that "the top" of anything, though it's nice to see someone experiment with new and relevant themes in their games.
Pretty sure this is standard post-E3 and Gamescom summer/autumn lull. News and articles are way down and coverage of the biggest games has died down before review season starts.
That's actually really interesting. I'd love to see some metrics.
Sounds good.
"What was done to her (by her ex) was extremely low and uncalled for but one has to consider what would motivate him to disclose such information?"
That's their personal business, I'd argue. Following this story is akin to bottom-of-the-barrel tabloid paparazzi, not anything resembling journalism.
Look, I'm sick of this whole thing. There's no conspiracy and no-one's coming to take our games away. And we all should be too busy playing games to bother following this stuff anyway.
BUT articles like this antagonise and browbeat, and makes many gamers feel like they're being rapped across the knuckles. No wonder some folks feel like battle lines are being drawn and 'sides' are forming even though they're really, really not.
I don't get it. Gamers voted with their wallets by Kickstarting classic old-school Infinity Engine-esque RPGs like Tides Of Numenera and Pillars Of Eternity. That is what we literally *want*.
BioWare, who pretty much kicked it all off all those years ago, then completely ignored this and decided to make Fable Legends' multiplayer mode in The Secret World's setting.
What? Anyway, fingers crossed that it's decent regardless.

...what? A moderate, well-reasoned opinion? Here?!
Awesome. Agree with all of that.
@Heisenburger: Bubs, agreed, the lot. Optimising a game and then getting through certification is very difficult, time-consuming and expensive. And has to be done again on every separate platform!
Of course devs will concentrate on one platform.
Yep. Not entirely sold on the white version (my original X360 didn't look right in my A/V cabinet until it bricked and I got the black version w/ Jasper chipset), but this is crazy good value.
@castillo: "but for what in return"
...making a PS4 game. That Sony will get 30% of in terms of sales on PSN.
Seriously, that's the be all and end all for most indie games. They're small teams who can feasibly only work on one or two versions of their game at any one time, and they'll go with the company who makes it easier and gives them less hoops to jump through.
I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to all...
This isn't how indie games work, and plenty of devs have made similar statements. Sony doesn't pay out a big lump sum for games like this -- seriously, they don't -- rather they do a great job of reaching out to indies and making sure they have dev kits/easy contacts throughout the development process. They want to make it as easy as possible for devs to make/port games to PS4.
Erm, but yeah, I'm getting the PC version too. The point is that there's a CHOI...
Ad-tivision!
Erm. A game can't 'become' an exclusive after launch. It's released via a network of watertight publishing and distribution contracts that have to be upheld to the letter - these things can't be reneged upon easily.
However, the variety of new updates and DLC, and the direction thereof, could very well change. If this happens, MS will likely try to push a 'better on Xbox' message, before releasing an exclusive sequel/spinoff.
